MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) - The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the guest of honor at the 19th Minsk International Book Fair, is preparing a rich and interesting program. Venezuelans bear in mind that 2012 was declared Year of Book in Belarus, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Venezuela in Belarus. The exhibition will be held in the National Exhibition Center Belexpo from 8 to 12 February. The main organizer of the fair is the Information Ministry of Belarus. The Embassy of Venezuela in Belarus is preparing a presentation of publishing products. A number of publishing houses and outstanding writers of Venezuela are expected to attend the event. Famous Venezuelan writer Luis Britto Garcнa will present his works on Latin American integration and the revolutionary process in Venezuela. The list of guests also includes the head of the Romulo Gallegos Center for Latin American Studies, author of humorous works of Roberto Hernandez Montoya; Adviser to the Central Bank of Venezuela Carlos Mendoza Potella. Venezuelan literature is rich in genres: from novels and tales to historical and present-day essays. They all will be featured at Venezuela’s stand. The Venezuelan Research Institute will present its book “Venezuela: Fascination of the South” published in Russian and English in cooperation with the Embassy of Venezuela in Belarus. Apart from that, Venezuela will present a rich cultural program including national music, dances, contests, lectures and forums.
