Inflation in Belarus goes down this year

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – In January-September inflation in Belarus totaled 6.8%, 1.1% down over the same months last year. In September 2010 inflation stood at 1.6%, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics Committee. The average consumer price index growth slowed down as well. In January-September 2010 it made up 0.7% against 0.8% in January-September 2009. A reminder, in 2009 inflation in Belarus reached 10.1%. In 2010 inflation is projected within 8-10%. In 2011 inflation is projected within 7-8%, according to the country’s draft monetary policy guidelines for 2011.
