In January-April 2011 national budget executed with almost no deficit

MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) - In January-April 2011 the national budget was executed with almost no deficit: it made up Br3.7 billion while the annual deficit forecast is Br6333 billion, or 3.2% of GDP, BelTA learnt from the Finance Ministry of Belarus.

Budget revenue amounted to Br10.4 trillion, or 31.1% of the annual plan. In January-April 2011 budget revenue of the government bodies sector came to Br26.5 trillion, or 34.7% of the annual plan.

In January-April 2011 VAT payments to the budget of the government bodies sector amounted to Br5.4 trillion, or 28.1% of the annual plan. Income tax payments totaled Br2.3 trillion (34.8%), excise payments Br1.3 trillion (24.5%). Revenues from foreign trade amounted to Br2.9 trillion (39.5%). State social insurance payments reached Br7.8 trillion, or 38.1% of the annual plan.

As of 1 May 2011, payable taxes and fees amounted to Br72.6 billion having increased by Br25.4 billion in April.

Expenditures of the national budget in the four months from January to April amounted to Br10.4 trillion, or 26.2% of the annual plan.

Budget expenditures of the government bodies sector in January-April 2011 came to Br25.5 trillion, or 30.8% of the annual plan.

Expenses on nation-wide activities totaled Br2.5 trillion (21.4%), expenses to finance the national economy Br3. 6 trillion (29.1%), to finance the social sector (social policy, education, health, physical education, sport, culture and media, Social Welfare Fund) reached Br16.3 trillion (33.7%).

In January-April 2011 the surplus of the budget of the government bodies sector amounted to Br1005.4 billion, or 1.8% of GDP.
