Belarus parliament to ratify Customs Union documents on 4 December

MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – Belarusian parliamentarians intend to ratify the package of Customs Union documents on 4 December. The matter is now on the agenda of the session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, the press service of the House of Representatives told BelTA. Belarus Vice Premier Andrei Kobyakov is expected to present a general overview of the ratification. The package includes 13 bills on ratifying the international treaties that make up the legal base of the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Among the documents to be ratified are agreements on terms and application of tariff quotas, customs clearance and control procedures, declaration of goods and their customs values, types of customs procedures and regimes, calculation and payment of customs dues. The parliament is also supposed to ratify protocols on providing tariff preferences, the united system of tariff preferences, terms and application of preferential customs dues in exclusive cases.
