E-registration for juridical entities, sole traders in Belarus

MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – E-registration services for juridical entities and sole traders have been introduced in Belarus. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed corresponding Decree No. 5 “On amendments and additions to Belarus President’s Decree No. 1 of 16 January 2009” on 27 June, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

The document is aimed at further liberalization of economic activities, creation of favorable conditions for doing business, perfecting regulations for state registration and liquidation of economic entities.

“The decree introduces an opportunity of e-registration for juridical entities and sole proprietors. Documents necessary for state registration can be submitted to the registration body both personally and in an electronic form (via a certain internet-portal),” the press service said.

The decree also provides citizens, which state registration as an individual entrepreneur was annulled, to apply for a new registration three years later after the decision on annulment was taken.

On the whole, the document is envisaged to intensify business initiative and further develop application-based registration procedures.
