Cooperation with China named a priority of Belarus’ foreign policy

Cooperation with China is a priority of Belarus’ foreign policy, Defence Minister of Belarus Leonid Maltsev said on January 16 as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Wu Hongbin, the press service of the Belarusian Defence Ministry told BelTA. “Based on principles of mutual benefit and respect, our relations successfully progress. The Armed Forces of Belarus and the People’s Liberation Army of China make their worthy contributions to the development of Belarusian-Chinese relations,” said Leonid Maltsev. The Defence Minister thanked the PRC leadership for the medical equipment provided to the Armed Forces of Belarus. As part of the bilateral military cooperation a regular batch of medical equipment sent by the PRC Defence Ministry was delivered to Belarus on January 11. Since 1995 the Armed Forces of Belarus have received over ?2.5 million worth of medical equipment from the PRC. The equipment allows diagnosing and treating the military using the latest practices. Some pieces of the equipment are unmatched in Europe.
