Belarus wins silver at European championships in aquatics

On March 23 Belarusian Vadim Kaptur and Alexander Varlamov won the silver medal in the Men’s 10m Synchro Platform at the European championships in aquatics in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The Belarusians scored 427.35 points, 25.89 behind the winners Patrick Hausding and Sascha Klein from Germany. The bronze medal went to Russia’s Oleg Vikulov and Konstantin Hanbekov. This is the second award of the Belarusians at the championships. On March 19 Svetlana Khokhlova picked up the bronze medal in the 50m butterfly. It was 0.45 seconds that did not allow Alexandra Gerasimenia from Belarus to get to the pedestal in the 50m backstroke on March 23. Russia’s Alexandra Zueva claimed gold in this discipline by setting the European record of 28.05 seconds.
